Could you be a school crossing patrol?

Have you got time to spare in the morning and afternoons to help children get to school safely? Then Derbyshire County Council wants to hear from you.

The authority has four vacancies for school crossing patrols in the north west of the county following retirements.
There are vacancies in Buxton and Glossop at:

* Queens Road/Bench Road in Fairfield from 8.25am to 9.05am and 3.10pm to 4pm
* Spire Hollin, Glossop, from 8.20am to 9.05am and 3.20pm to 4pm
* Charlestown Road/Hollin Cross Lane in Glossop from 8.25am to 9am and 3.30pm to 3.55pm
* Dinting Vale, Glossop, from 8.25am to 9am and 3.25pm to 4pm

Anyone can apply to become a school crossing patrol (SCP) if they are available every school day during term times. 

SCPs are paid £5.42 an hour during term time and the holidays. Deputies (who are called on to provide relief cover for illness and holidays) are paid £5.76 an hour.
