Careers in social care

Adult social care roles play a crucial role in supporting individuals who may be vulnerable or in need of assistance due to age, disability, or health issues.

These roles provide essential services that contribute to the overall well-being and quality of life for residents in communities.

Joining us in an adult social care role means becoming part of a team dedicated to making a positive impact on people's lives. We emphasise person-centred care, aiming to empower individuals and promote their independence.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a caring and supportive environment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who require assistance and fostering a sense of community and inclusivity.

Direct care roles

We're looking for people to join our direct care teams to help us support vulnerable people throughout the county.

You'll provide support people living either in one of our establishments or in the community, helping them to live at home.

We have several vacancies and various hours available at locations around Derbyshire. Most of these posts will involve shift work and may include evenings and weekends, but we try to be as flexible as possible.

Roles include:

Adult care worker apprenticeships

We're offering apprentice opportunities to anyone considering a career in health and social.

Apprentices can be any age and you'll have ongoing support and mentoring from our experienced staff.

After completing the 18-month training you'll receive a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and we'll support you to explore a variety of job opportunities with us.

Relief direct care roles

We're offering direct care roles which can offer flexibility in the amount of hours you work each week.

You'll still need to be able to work usual care shift patterns (morning, afternoon, nights) but you can choose how many shifts you work each week, so you can find the perfect balance between work and life.

We're looking for:

  • relief care workers (residential)
  • relief domestics
  • relief senior care workers
