Tithe Maps on CD

A tithe map was drawn up between 1836 and 1850 for each parish where there was land subject to tithe (a tax payable to the church). The maps are particularly useful because of their large scale, and identification of landscape features such as buildings, roads, fields, and more. Over 100 Derbyshire tithe maps are now available on CD.
