Our services
Derbyshire Record Office holds a vast collection of original archive material relating to Derby and Derbyshire which is accessible in our search room in Matlock. We also offer a range of other services described below.
Copying service
Our copying service can help you find out about obtaining copies of documents from our collections.
Photography service
You can take your own photographs of the documents you view in the record office search room. You can purchase a daily or an annual licence, entitling you to photograph documents for this period. An annual licence may also be purchased for use by groups. See our Photography Service page for more information.
Research service
We will answer any enquiries about the content and extent of our collections without charge. Where consultation of the original records is required, our fully-trained staff can undertake research on your behalf if you are unable to visit us in person under our Research Service.
