Online resources

We are digitising Derby and Derbyshire's First World War documents so you can view them through our online catalogue. Take a look at our First World War documents online (opens in a new window).

Also see Derby and Derbyshire's First World War photographs (opens in a new window) on Picture the Past (opens in a new window).

Derbyshire Lives through the First World War project

We have received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a project to support Derbyshire communities in commemorating the war. We don't have funding to give away, but we can help you to develop a project and find money to run it. You can find more information about local First World War projects, support, training and events on the Derbyshire Lives blog (opens in a new window).

Derbyshire Remembers project

Fifth Word Theatre, in partnership with Derbyshire Record Office, Derby Local Studies Library and the National Trust is exploring the city and county's First World War history with primary schools in Derby and Sudbury. For more information contact record.office@derbyshire.gov.uk.
