Schools and teaching
We have a wide range of original source material covering cross-curricular dimensions which can support young people in developing personal learning and thinking skills.
The schools programme offered by the Record Office is designed
to support teachers in the classroom,
to support learning outside the classroom,
to bring history, science, geography, literacy and numeracy to life for young people.
The guide available to download on this page outlines the services we offer to help schools achieve their targets and to deliver positive learning outcomes.
With our vast original resources we can support core subject areas for Key Stages 1-4, as well as individual learning projects for older pupils, particularly at AS and A-Level.
Services currently include resource packs, visits to the Record Office, visits from an archivist to your school, and tailored packs about the history of your school.
