Local Cultural Strategy

A vision of the cultural life of Derbyshire has been produced - the Local Cultural Strategy 2002 - 2007.

The Derbyshire Local Cultural Strategy aims to support the creation of local action plans shared between all organisations and agencies working in partnership. Six themes have been identified to focus action.

  1. Enjoyment and involvement
  2. Employment, prosperity, community
  3. Taking care of the future
  4. Safe, sound and healthy
  5. Education for all for life
  6. Celebrating local identity and diversity

The strategy is a joint initiative between Derbyshire County Council, the Peak District National Park Authority and all district and borough councils in the county, except for Derby City Council.
