Using your library

Membership of the library service is free and it's easy to join.  

Call into your local library or join online. A form is available from the information on other websites section if you would like to join online.

We will normally need to see a form of identification with your name and address on before we can give you a library ticket. The documents we accept as proof of identification are:

  • Driving licence
  • bank statement
  • building society book
  • Post Office savings book
  • welfare benefits book
  • pension book
  • bus pass
  • receipted bills
  • council tax demand
  • medical card. 

Just take one of these documents along to your nearest library and you will be issued with a library ticket.
