Summer Reading Challenge
Starting on Saturday 15 July and running until Saturday 9 September 2017, libraries across Derbyshire will be taking part in the annual Summer Reading Challenge.
This year's theme is Animal Agents and children will get the chance to become detectives joining a whole host of clever creatures to solve all kinds of mysteries!
Family Fun Day
Guaranteed to appeal to any children who enjoy having adventures and solving puzzles the challenge officially begins at 10am on Saturday 15 July 2017 with a family fun day at Chesterfield library.
To become an agent and join in with the fun sign up at any of Derbyshire's Libraries. All children have to do is read six library books of their choice and collect the special stickers, designed by Tony Ross, as they go. When they have read six books they get a brilliant medal and certificate to celebrate their achievement.
It's all free and there will be lots of story times and craft activities for children and families to enjoy throughout the summer.
