A mixed species woodland planted during the reclamation of Swanwick Colliery and an older plantation on former spoil heaps.
Silver Birch trees Sleetmoor Wood is a 13.5 hectare mixed species woodland planted after the landscaping of the spoil heaps of the former Swanwick Colliery and completed in 1981.

Colliery Plantation, 3.5 hectares, includes parts of an old woodland near the A38 with a line of old oak trees and earlier planting on former colliery spoil heaps adjacent to Wimsey Way.
