Highoredish Picnic Site
Highoredish car park and picnic site offers stunning views over Ogston Reservoir.The car park at Highoredish is open at weekends and bank holidays from Easter until the end of October. Access to the site on foot is permissible all year round.
Occupying the site of a former gritstone quarry, high up on a ridge, it offers a good base to explore the local Public Rights of Way. There are stunning views of Ogston Reservoir and the countryside eastwards, as far as the eye can see.
Circular walks are waymarked from the car park.
The site has heathland plants including heather and bilberry.
