Golden Valley
A length of the disused Cromford canal above Codnor Park Reservoir.
About 0.5km of the abandoned Cromford Canal that was restored in 1980 following the General Improvement Scheme on the adjacent Golden Valley cottages.
The canal towpath forms a footpath link between Newlands Road and the Golden Valley to Ironville cycle and footpath trail constructed in 2006.
The canal is part of a Local Wildlife Site for its water habitats. Downstream the canal flows into the British Waterway’s Codnor Park Reservoir.
