St Helen's Wildlife Watch Group

St Helen's Wildlife Watch Group Are you aged between 7 and 14?
Are you wild about wildlife?
Do you love getting out in the countryside, meeting new people and having fun?

If the answer is yes, then we have the club for you.

St Helen's Wildlife Watch Group is run by rangers from Tapton Lock Visitor Centre.

We meet once a month on a Sunday afternoon (except August).

We do lots of different wildlife activities like pond dipping and mini-beast hunting.

We have enjoyed both planting and chopping down trees and a favourite is bonfire with roast potatoes and toasted marshmallows.

Our base is the Parish Centre, Christ Church, Chesterfield, but many of our meetings are held on our different countryside sites in the area.

Join a Dawn Chorus on the Chesterfield Canal or Fungal Foray at Westthorpe Hills.

Each meeting costs £1 per person and pre-booking is essential.

Wildlife Watch is the UK's leading club for young environmentalists and junior section of The Wildlife Trust. It is supported by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust
