Hayfield Countryside Centre

Hayfield village Hayfield Countryside Centre is situated at the gateway to the Kinder Scout area of the Peak District.

It is situated at the eastern end of the Sett Valley Trail, a 2.5 mile traffic-free route for walkers, horse riders and cyclists created on a former railway line.

The Pennine Bridleway National Trail passes along part of the Sett Valley Trail. Facilities include a picnic site, car park, bus station, toilets (including toilets for disabled people). The countryside shop and information point are open daily from June to August, weekends in September and October, Sundays only from November to March. Staff in the countryside centre can help you make the most of your visit. The centre has a wide selection of maps, gifts and books. You can also purchase cold drinks, ice creams, snacks and gifts.

A short 500 metre walk from the countryside centre, along the Sett Valley Trail, is the beautiful Bluebell Wood Local Nature Reserve.

Hayfield itself is a picturesque and historic village with a number of good shops and cafes.
