Car parking

• Coppiceside - Next to the Visitor Centre

• Next to Mapperley Reservoir (access via Mapperley Village only)

Both have ample parking with spaces for blue badge holders.

Parking is also available on Shipley Hill for blue badge holders only. (Open 9.30am to 4.30pm in the summer and 9.30am to 3.45pm in the winter). Access is from Marlpool, Heanor only.

Parking Charges
Parking costs £1 at the Honesty Box. Season permits are available at the Visitor Centre for £15.

There is no charge for parking by blue badge holders on Shipley Hill.

Horse boxes
Parking for horse boxes is available at the car park next to the visitor centre.

There are excellent facilities for horse riding at Shipley County Park.
