Activities and events at Shipley Country Park
We organise an extensive programme of events throughout the year. We are also able support external organisations who wish to organise their own event(s) at the park.
Animal Magic! at Shipley Country Park - Sunday 17 June 2012
During Heanor Festival Week 2012 join us for an event that showcases all creatures great and small.
There'll be:
- A fun dog show
- Flyball demonstrations and have-a-go activities (with the Wuff 'n' Ready Racers Flyball Team)
- dog agility demonstrations and have-a-go activities (with Ilkeston and District Dog Training Club)
- The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) - PetCheck Mobile as part of their UK tour, providing free dog MOTs and care advice for other pets
- animal and wildlife related stalls
- lots of rescued animals to meet and learn about.

Special activities and events
Heanor Festival Week - Animal Magic! at Shipley Country Park - Join the countryside service to celebrate wildlife and pets at this fun-filled family friendly event with fun dog show, flyball, dog agility, stalls, activities, have-a-go sessions and demonstrations on offer.
Nature Watch Club - Organised activities take place each month for local youngsters to learn about the park and nature through games and activities. Please click on link for further information.
Autumn Footprints - The Amber Valley and Erewash Walking Festival - Each year, during September, a 16 day festival takes places offering a wide range of guided walks. Please click on link for further information.
