Activities and events at Shipley Country Park

We organise an extensive programme of events throughout the year. We are also able support external organisations who wish to organise their own event(s) at the park.

Special activities and events

  • Emerge Festival of Culture and Diversity - This tremendous festival showcasing local talent and celebrating music and dance from around the world takes place at Shipley Country Park every other year (next one due in 2009). During the years in between the festival other smaller events with a cultural flavour are on offer. Please click on link for further information.

  • Nature Watch Club - Organised activities take place each month for local youngsters to learn about the park and nature through games and activities. Please click on link for further information.

  • Autumn Footprints - The Amber Valley and Erewash Walking Festival - Each year, during September, a 16 day festival takes places offering a wide range of guided walks. Please click on link for further information.

Volunteering 
A range of opportunities for carrying out voluntary work exists throughout the Countryside Service. Please click for further information about our volunteering opportunities.
