Greenway strategies

Our Greenway strategies have identified routes that meet the goals of Natural England and create a user-friendly network to link communities and places of interest across Derbyshire and through the Peak District National Park.
 
The aim of the strategies at this stage is to identify the potential for developing a network of Greenways across Derbyshire. No dedicated funding has been approved to implement the strategies, but it is hoped that they will provide the basis to safeguard the routes and pursue funding as and when opportunities arise.

There are provisions within the Local Transport Plan which could be used to contribute to the development process.

The development and funding of new sections of the network will be the subject of individual reports before any commitment to proceed is made.
