Boiler Suits, Bofors and Bullets

This award-winning publication tells the stories of people from the Langley Mill area of Derbyshire who worked in the Collaro munitions factory during World War II. The reality of working in an ammunitions factory is only part of the story.

Waving goodbye to sweethearts, dancing the night away at the Town Hall, 'sanding' their legs to make them looked tanned and singing along to Joe Loss and Glenn Miller is the other side of a fascinating story.

Also available as an audio tape.

Props, Points and Pig Iron

Children from Renishaw Primary School, along with members of the local community, worked with writers and artists to record their experiences of living in Renishaw.

Weaving together these stories and memories, this book celebrate the characters, industries and events that have created the community of Renishaw.
