Grants

We have two grant schemes for the arts – small arts grants and community arts grants. Artists’ Marketing grants are funded by the Arts Partnership.

Derbyshire Artists’ Marketing grants are available to support marketing activities which will sustain the business and help it to grow.

Small arts grants

These grants are awarded three times a year to any organisation doing arts work in Derbyshire.

We can provide funding of up to £1,000 for projects which fit into one or more of these priorities:

  • developing new audiences and participants in arts activity
  • supporting arts work with disabled people
  • supporting arts work in rural areas
  • supporting the creative economy.

The following are not eligible:

  • individuals
  • commercial organisations
  • other county council departments or sections
  • organisations which already receive funding from any part of Derbyshire County Council
  • any work in schools, nurseries or pre-schools which is in school time or supports the curriculum
  • organisations which have already received a small arts grant in the last 10 years
  • work that will take place in Derby City or any other place outside the county boundaries.
