Our website
You can now talk with us and find our updates on social network Twitter.
Twitter is a social networking service which enables users to send short messages, called tweets, and read those from other users. You can post messages from the website, from another piece of software such as Tweetdeck or by sending text messages from your mobile phone (at the standard text message charge).
You can view messages from people you are following in the same way including choosing whose updates you want to receive to your mobile phone.
What are we tweeting about?
Our profile carries updates and links to our latest news, events, consultations and other information. We will also publish urgent messages through Twitter as well as through this website and other methods, where appropriate.
You can also talk informally to us on Twitter. Tell us about living, working or visiting Derbyshire or let us know what you think of the information we are tweeting about.
If you have an enquiry about a service or a complaint then please use the Contact Us page on this website to choose how to get in touch with us.
How to find us
You can find us at http://twitter.com/Derbyshirecc (opens in a new window). You will need to be a member of Twitter (a free service) and then use the follow button on our profile to see our updates.
If you would like to send us a message on Twitter please start your tweet with @Derbyshirecc. This will send a public message to us.
If you would like to send a private message, called Direct Message, in Twitter please use the message option in the right hand column of our profile or use the Direct Message option in your chosen Twitter client.
Accessible Twitter
This is an alternative to the main Twitter website and provides the same service but with optimization for people with disabilities.
Once you have registered your account with Twitter you can use your username and password to sign in to this version.
If you have any feedback about this service please email econtent@derbyshire.gov.uk.
