Our profiles on social networks
More and more often people are interacting, communicating and collaborating with each other on the world wide web.
We are using some of these social websites to improve the online service we offer.
Our current profiles
You will find our profile at http://twitter.com/Derbyshirecc (opens in a new window). We use Twitter to post updates about all of our services and activities, answer enquiries and make a link with local people in Derbyshire.
On Twitter you can also find our Digital Derbyshire (opens in a new window) programme - working to improve broadband speeds in Derbyshire - or follow Derbyshire Awards (opens in a new window) for information about Young Achievers, Excellence in the Community and other awards we run.
We have a Derbyshire County Council Facebook page (opens in a new window). Just like Twitter we use Facebook to post updates about all of our services and activities, answer enquiries and make a link with local people in Derbyshire.
You will also find:
on Facebook along with many of our partner organisations.
If you 'like' our pages you'll see our updates in your news feed and be able to share them with your friends.
Flickr
You can view, comment on or share many of our images on the Derbyshire County Council Flickr page (opens in a new window). We've shared images of the building of our Eco Centre at Wirksworth as well as a gallery of past winners of the Derbyshire Open Art competition.
Where possible we add these to our website and enjoy seeing your local views and our services in action around the county.
Chesterfield Library have a Flickr profile (opens in a new window) for pictures from their events.
YouTube
You can view, comment on or share our videos on the Derbyshire County Council YouTube channel (opens in a new window). We have videos embedded within our website and we're starting to share these on YouTube.
