Everybody's Talking campaign

Everybody's Talking is a DEFRA funded project which aims to raise awareness of climate change and change attitudes positively so people will feel they can take action on climate change.

Everybody's talking logo The campaign is aimed at householders, employees, schools, community and voluntary groups and large industries operating in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire where the campaign is running. Over the next year the campaign will be operating across the two counties.

The campaign is being run by the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Local Authorities’ Energy Partnership which includes all 19 local authorities in the two counties who have been working together for the last 10 years on sustainable energy and climate change issues. The Partnership is also involved at national level helping to shape national policy on these matters.

Pledge to do your bit online
Log onto the Everybody's Talking (opens in a new window) website to make a pledge (opens in a new window) to make some changes to help reduce climate change and take part in the campaign.

We all have to play our part, both individuals and organisations and no matter how small a change we make it will be part of the overall contribution to reducing the impact of climate change. Once you’ve done one thing your awareness will be raised and it is quite likely you’ll then see lots of ways in which you could make a bigger contribution. Remember the words of the hugely influential politician, orator and political thinker, Edmund Burke (1729 – 1797) “Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little”.

As part of Everybody's Talking, a campaign vehicle will visiting various sites across the county. Go to  campaign events (opens in a new window) to find out when it will be visiting a site near you.
