Derbyshire's waste strategy
Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council and the eight district and borough councils have drawn up a strategy for managing household waste called "Looking after Derbyshire's Waste".
The Strategy details our joint approach to deal with our rubbish in the future. It looks at ways to reduce waste being made in the first place, increasing reuse and recycling/composting and reducing what we send to landfill.
The Strategy was adopted in 2006 and is subject to a review every 5 years to make sure it is kept up to date. The review of the Strategy will begin in January 2012.
