Derbyshire Household Waste Recycling Centres

We currently operate seven Household Waste Recycling Centres situated at the following locations:

Derby City Council (opens in a new window) also operates a site on Raynesway Park Drive just off the A5111 Raynesway. Some types of vehicle may need a permit to enter this site.

The centres are places where you can take items from your own house which may be too large or bulky to be taken by your normal kerbside waste collection.

There is no charge for disposing of your waste at these centres.

All our sites recycle as much as they can. All waste delivered will be separated and where possible recycled, re-used or composted. If you have any concerns about your waste being treated in this way, please speak to one of the site attendants who will deal conscientiously with any items of a personal nature.

If you need a hand unloading an item from your vehicle please ask a site attendant who will be happy to help.

Waste delivered in a vehicle other than a private car or trailer may be queried on the suspicion that it is trade waste.

Opening times and vehicle access

All sites are open from 8.30am to 6pm daily.

The only days the sites are closed are the Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day bank holidays.

Cars and small vans up to 3.5T gvw (that is standard Ford Transit size or equivalent), and trailers less than two metres length are allowed on site.

You do not need a permit to enter any of our sites.

Height barriers may be in operation to keep trade vehicles out.
