Historic buildings and monuments

We are the custodian for about 300 listed buildings, unlisted historic buildings in conservation areas, scheduled ancient monuments and other structures of archaeological importance.

Historic properties in our care include ancient roads, footpaths and bridges, schools, milestones and sign-posts, historic lamp standards, offices, libraries, engine houses and other structures from our industrial past.
