Creative arts team
The creative arts team helps to deliver youth arts activities and opportunities to young people across the county.
The creative arts bus has arts based resources and a team of skilled activity leaders, which enable us to execute innovative projects within districts.
These have included film projects, graffiti and mural projects, dance sessions and music and young band development.
We also support county events such as Derbyshire Literature Festival and the Emerge Festival, which celebrates cultural diversity.
The creative arts team each year delivers Derbyshire Young Band of the Year event, Pop Band event, Music X summer project, Uproject and supports all the district summer programmes in the county by supplying arts based sessions during their schemes.
Donut Creative Arts Studio
Donut Creative Arts Studio (opens in a new window) is a new Youth Arts Facility which is part of Derbyshire County Council, and is a countywide resource.
The studio delivers daily open access workshops in music, dance, drama, media and art, for all 11-19 year olds (up to aged 25 if disabled or have a learning disability).
