A Youth Worker supports the personal, social development and economic well being of young people, age 11-25 years (with priority for 13-19 year olds) through the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
The Youth Service offers young people new and challenging experiences, that will stretch their knowledge, skills and attitudes in a way that enables them to fulfil their potential to contribute as positive members of society.
The Youth Service offers a range of facilities which include Youth Information Shops, Youth Café’s, Youth Clubs, Mobile provision and a wide range of projects.
Themes covered include Healthy Living, Creative Arts, Information, Advice and guidance, Cultural Awareness, Political Education, Crime Prevention, Environmental Awareness, Outdoor Education, Sport, Leisure and Recreation and Citizenship
