Derbyshire Volunteer Passport scheme
The Derbyshire Volunteer Passport Scheme is a short training course that was developed by us in Partnership with Derbyshire volunteer centres and councils for voluntary sector (CVS's) and the voluntary sector, and has been running since 2009.
The course is open to anyone, of any age, who is volunteering or is interested in volunteering within Derbyshire. No previous qualifications or experience are required to join the course and the training is accessible to all.
Participants will explore:
- equality, diversity and inclusion
- keeping yourself and others safe
- health and safety
- person centred approach.
On completion of the Volunteer Passport, participants will receive a Level 1 NCFE Investors in Quality certificate, and an identification badge.
From April 2017 the Volunteer Passport will be jointly funded and coordinated by adult care and children's services, in continued partnership with the voluntary sector. There is now one Derbyshire Volunteer Passport course for people volunteering with adults or children or both.
Courses are held across Derbyshire in partnership with volunteer centres and CVS's.
Agencies within Derbyshire are welcome to book a course. Either email: firstname.lastname@example.org or contact their local volunteer centre or CVS to arrange their place.
Individuals can also register their interest in attending a course.
