Derbyshire City and County Music Partnership
The Derbyshire City and County Music Partnership is the music service provided by Derbyshire and Derby City councils
The Music Partnership aims to provide quality instrumental and vocal tuition to pupils in Derbyshire county and Derby city schools.
This successful and rapidly expanding music service has over 200 full and part-time instrumental teachers who teach around 10,000 instrumentalists and involve a further 5,000 pupils annually in other music projects.
A wide range of ensemble opportunities are available for all stages of learning an instrument.
In addition to regular instrumental and vocal tuition the Music Partnership provides further support for music development including:
- singing projects
- infant and junior workshops for clusters of schools
- Key Stage 2 whole class instrumental and vocal tuition (Wider Opportunities)
- curriculum support to individual schools
- projects for special schools
- professional development opportunities for all key stages
- organising live performances
- school projects
- arranging workshops with visiting artists.
