Key dates

• A Bidders’ Day was held on 08 June 2007.

• The Derbyshire BSF programme was advertised to the market in the Journal of the European Union (OJEU) on 30 July 2007.

• On 12 November 2007 two bidders were shortlisted and they submitted initial bids on 10 March 2007.

• Conditional Close of dialogue took place on 27 November 2008 and final bids were received on 2 December 2008.

• Equitix Ltd were appointed as the Preferred Bidder on 2 January 2009.

• Work started on site at The Bolsover, Heritage and Springwell Schools in April 2009.

• The Final Business Case was submitted to Partnerships for Schools in June 2009 and approved in July 2009.

• Financial Close was reached on 23/24 July.

• Design work began with Netherthorpe, Stubbin Wood and Tibshelf Schools and Shirebrook Academy in July 2009,

• Development work started with the three secondary schools in Wave 5 - Frederick Gent, Alfreton Grange, Swanwick Hall School and the two special schools – Alfreton Park Community Special School and Swanwick School and Sports College.

• Community consultation events will be held at the schools once design work has started and these will be advertised locally.
