Building Schools for the Future (BSF) documents

There are a number of key BSF documents linked below which provide further details and insight into the BSF programme.

The Education Vision outlines how we view the future of education in Derbyshire.

The Strategy for Change details how we will achieve the aims of the Education Vision. It was submitted to PfS in January 2007 and has subsequently been approved by the DfES. The strategy contains information regarding the establishment of learning communities, the scope of the LEP, the extent of the BSF Programme in Derbyshire, community engagement, extended services and details about the Derbyshire Project Team.

The ICT Summary explains how education will be transformed in Derbyshire via ICT.

The Summary of the LEP Exclusivity is a document that summarises the services the LEP will be asked to provide (exclusively) and the potential relationship with us.  A copy of the draft Partnering Services Specification (Appendix 16 of the Outline Business Case – OBC) is available on request from the BSF office bsf.enquiries@derbyshire.gov.uk.

The Core and Optional Elements of an ICT Managed Service document outlines which elements of the managed service for schools will be core and which will be optional.

The Economic Update is the most up-to-date version of the economic position for Derbyshire as at June 2007.

The BSF Board Paper of 25 November 2008 outlines the reasoning behind the reprioritisation of Derbyshire schools for Waves 7-15.

The BSF Phasing document and map show when Derbyshire schools will be brought into the BSF programme and the expected dates for their completion.
