Educational visits and trips

Engaging, inspiring and interactive fieldwork visits. These hands-on curriculum linked day programmes are offered from a wide variety of locations including:

  • Chesterfield
  • Belper
  • Shipley Country Park
  • Holmebrook Valley Park.

Alternatively we can design a tailor made visit or trip for your group from a location of your choice. The activities are fully resourced, planned and led by our experienced visit leaders.

Training and workshops

We run a wide range of learning outside the classroom courses and workshops throughout the year. We can also create adult training workshops for you and your staff to meet your training and development needs.

Derbyshire Forest School

We aim to support settings, schools and groups in Derbyshire in developing long term Forest School Programmes in a sustainable way.

Forest school is an inspirational process that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees. Forest School is a specialised learning approach that sits within, and complements, the wide contact of outdoor and woodland education.

Visit the Derbyshire Forest Schools blog (opens in a new window).

Projects

We deliver a wide range of projects with many organisations and settings, including developing learning resources and delivering funded projects. If you'd like to work with us, or have us deliver something for you, please get in touch. We specialise in engaging young people in built heritage and environmental issues.
