Out of school

Out of school learning and leisure opportunities contribute to children and young people's education, health and wellbeing.

In this section you'll find information about out-of-school hours learning, sometimes known as 'study support'.

Young people can also find out more about youth activities or how to get involved in the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) award scheme which runs across Derbyshire by schools, voluntary organisations, youth groups and DofE centres.

You will also find information about sporting activities and clubs for people of all ages, including disabled children and young people on the Derbyshire Sport website (opens in a new window).

If you're looking for childcare - before or after school clubs or holiday play schemes you can search our family information directory.

If a young person is thinking of getting a job you can check out the law regarding the employment of young people and what you need to do.  You will also find guidance if a children or young person is considering employment within the entertainment, modelling or sports industry.
