Families information service

What is the families information service?

It is a free service for mums, dads and carers of babies and children aged 0-19. We provide quality information that will help you find and choose early learning, childcare and fun activities near to you and your child.

You can search our Family Information Directory to find details of:

  • Childminders, day nurseries, breakfast and after school clubs, holiday playschemes, playgroups and creches.

  • Childcare providers that pick up and/or drop off from schools.

  • Free early education places (two, three and four year olds).

You can check eligibility criteria for 2 year old funding with the Sufficiency Team (opens in a new window).

You can also find information about additional services and support for you and your family, for example parenting support, including support for parents of disabled children.

Alternatively you can contact Call Derbyshire on 08 456 058 058 or email contact.centre@derbyshire.gov.uk.
