Behaviour Support Service
We are a large service made up of a number of teams, who use a variety of professional expertise to support children. We aim to support schools to improve pupil behaviour and reduce exclusions, to support the re-integration of excluded pupils and to provide or secure the best possible education for pupils following permanent exclusion.
The service also provides out of school tuition for pupils with long-term medical needs, pregnant young women of school age and pupils awaiting specialist provision.
A virtual classroom also provides part time education for some pupils who qualify for out of school tuition.
The service maintains eight support centres. There are four part time centres for pupils at risk of exclusion and four support centres for excluded pupils.
