Early years and childcare
We work with local communities to ensure that there are high quality, accessible early education and childcare places for all families in Derbyshire.
We can:
- help you to find an early education place if your child is aged three or four years
- help you to find childcare if your child is aged 0 - 14 years (16 if your child has additional needs) and advise you about the different types of childcare available
- tell you how to take your first steps if you are thinking of becoming a childminder or setting up a childcare business
- offer you support, advice or training while you become registered or if you are already a childcare provider
- offer you support, advice or training and tell you about jobs in childcare if you would like to work with children.
