The following teams within our service all work towards achieving this by giving all children a sure start

Early Years team - we are qualified teachers with an early years specialism. Our role is to ensure that Derbyshire children aged three and four receive high quality early education

Childcare team - we work with local communities to create new childcare places where they are needed. We help new and existing childcare providers to develop their business

Children's Information Service and Information Management team - we keep up to date, accurate information about childcare and early years education including what services are offered and how many places there are

Training team - we offer training and funding opportunities to ensure that Derbyshire has an excellent early years and childcare workforce

Social Inclusion team - we support disability inclusion and family support services funded from the Childcare Grant and Childrens’ Fund.
