About Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT)

Primary Mental Health Workers (PMHW) work with young people up to the age of 18, across North Derbyshire (excluding Glossop), who are presenting with signs and symptoms of a variety of mental health needs, such as self harm, depression and anxiety. PMHW's provide a wide range of services for young people and their families, including mental health assessments, consultation and liaison with outside agencies and GP's, attendance at Multi Agency Team (MAT) meetings and school meetings, Everybody's Business and bespoke training packages and signposting to more appropriate services. We work closely with CAMHS in order to ensure referrals are passed on in a timely manner.
