Learning Disability Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (LD-CAMHS)
LD CAMHS work with young people aged up to 18 years, who have a moderate to severe learning disability and are presenting with signs of mental health problems, relationship difficulties and/or challenging behaviour. LD CAMHS provides a wide range of services for young people and their families, including psychological and psychiatric assessments, mental health assessments, individual therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, family work and behavioural work. We are part of an integrated service and have close links with our colleagues in Paediatrics, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and School Health.

This service is available in a variety of settings across North Derbyshire including: - CAMHS (The Den) at Chesterfield Royal Hospital - Mainstream schools and nurseries - Special school settings Most of the work, however, takes place in the family's home.
