Killamarsh Autistic & Pda Support Group (KAPS)
Adventure Kaps accommodates Young People 13 years and upwards Mini Kaps will accommodate children between 5 -12 years old. − The groups are intended to support children and young people with a diagnosis or pending diagnosis of: ASD, Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, PDA, or other related Spectrum Conditions & complex special needs. − Play-scheme runs during summer break, however, may run during half terms and other school holidays where funding allows. − Qualified & Experienced staff and ongoing training for staff ensures up to date knowledge. All staff CRB checked for working with Children, young people and vulnerable adults. − Care ratio is mostly one to one although can be higher in favour of the service user where appropriate. Assessment of needs is carried out to decide the best ratio and to match service users with members of the team. − Club is free although sometimes small contributions are welcomed towards trips etc. Siblings welcomed where places available, again on a free basis. − Referrals from professionals & Parents & carers interested in the provision welcomed. Places are limited to a maximum of 10 per session due to ensuring a pleasant experience for the children & young people.
