Fairplay Independent Living Group
The purpose of the group is to move young people towards independent or supported housing. This is achieved by providing a programme that sees young people learning and practicing skills such as; budgeting, household chores, shopping, cooking, travel training. They also enhance their social skills by going into the community to access leisure facilities and restaurants etc. Other activities have included bowling, photography, graffiti art, visits to museums. The Group runs Monday − Friday 10am to 4pm (earlier starts and later finishes can be arranged at additional cost). Young people can attend any number of days and this is usually funded via their personal budget.
