Derbyshire Information Advice and Support Service For SEND (formerly known as Parent Partnership) Providing impartial, information and advice for Special Educational Needs and Disability We are a free, impartial and confidential support service for parents/carers and children/young people (0-25 years) providing information and support around special educational needs and disabilities and exclusion issues. The role of the service is to offer support in relation to special educational provision covered by education, health and social care. The service includes: − An advice line Monday to Friday 9.30-3pm − Information around Education, Health, Care Plans and SEN support − Discussing your concerns around SEN support in school − Help with visits to schools/colleges. − Support with disagreement resolution, mediation a Support for parents and children/young people in meetings, where possible. − Support completing paper work eg review forms/ EHC requests. − Information on unofficial, fixed term and permanent exclusion − Signposting to other agencies/ support services

Messages can be left outside the advice line hours and we will aim to accommodate reasonable requests for calls outside these times. Staff training takes place once a month on a Wednesday.
