About Ashbourne Sinfonia

The Sinfonia was formed in October 2008. It is an amateur orchestra which specialises in the baroque and classical music of the eighteenth century. Their aim is to give public concerts for mainly charitable purposes.

Open - Monday evenings every 2 weeks. Players need enthusiasm, willingness to practise and commitment to attending rehearsals because this is a small group. The ability to sight-read is a great help. Players need to be about Grade 5 or above, but musicality is much more important than bits of paper, no matter how well deserved.
