About Ripley Nursery School Childcare

Ripley Nursery School Childcare Facility is part of an integrated service within Ripley Nursery School. Staffing is fully qualified, Childcare Manager, Room Seniors, Early Years Educators and Support Staff are qualified to Level 3 (pleasea ask to see certificates). Volunteers and Students attending have a robust induction process and all staff go through a rigorous interview and screening process as well as a robust induction and probationary period. We work closely with other professionals e.g. Educational Psychologists, Health Visitors and Advisory Teachers to ensure that children receive the best possible start to their early education and care. The Childcare Facility received an outstanding Ofsted Inspection in 2013. Each room is self contained with free flow access to the outdoors. We pride ourselves on our outdoor space and resources and the children have access to the garden in all weathers. The Childcare Facility provide all outdoor playwear including overalls, boots, hats, gloves and sun hats. As well as their own play areas the children also share the larger garden space with the school children to enable children to play alongside their peers and have the opportunity to share, turn take, collaborate and negotiate as well as explore, investigate and find wonder, joy and curiosity within their natural environment. Each room enables the children to play and learn within the moment with natural resources that can be extended to enhance children's own interests. The school has been named by Ofsted as one of the most outstanding providers in the country. We were particularly praised for our personal and social curriculum and the quality of children's speaking and listening skills. We link closely with our feeder schools.
