About Ambergate & District Playgroup

We offer 8 sessions per week, Monday to Friday 0900-1200 with additional sessions of 1200-1500 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We offer places to children age 2 to 5. Free funded places are available for 2 year old funding and 3 & 4 year olds - conditions apply. We are a small, community Playgroup, who provide a fun learning environment for each individual child. Our play is entirely child orientated, ensuring that we offer a multitude of open ended activities and an enriching learning experience. We have recently been inspected by OFSTED, and received an overall outcome of GOOD. OFSTED say; Children are happy and content, children make good progress in their learning and development and that children develop confidence and concentrate well on activities. They are happy and display a strong sense of belonging. Children access outdoor play on a daily basis 'whatever the weather', and learn to explore our natural world. A healthy snack is provided each session in a cafe style.
