Broad curriculum options

Young people have the following choices to make at the key times during their education:


At 14 years-old

All students will follow the core curriculum through GCSEs

At 16 years-old

Young people can choose from a general qualification route made up of A-levels or BTECs, an apprenticeship or 16-19 programmes of study.

Young people can also choose to go into employment with training.

At 18 years-old

Young people should have achieved the qualifications required to continue in education or training, such as Higher Education, Advanced Apprenticeship or in skilled employment.
