Education & learning
Art and design stimulates creativity and imagination and gives you the opportunity to develop an awareness of your surroundings and to enrich your life.
The arts can provide learners with the capacity for creative thinking and practical skills and offer the opportunity to develop social skills and self-confidence.
You can study at your own pace, either for leisure or to gain a qualification, with support from our tutors, many of whom are experts in their field.
Achievement in art and design is well established and our centres have specialist facilities with high standards of student work.
We have a course to suit everyone from horticulture to construction and dry stone walling, welding to environmental courses and music technology, dance to photography and painting and drawing as well as many craft courses such as pottery, floristry, upholstery, embroidery and woodland crafts.
We also offer courses for creative businesses to help them to plan, market and run their businesses more effectively and we deliver tailor-made packages for other organisations and service providers such as Mental Health teams, Sure Start and the Youth Offending Service.
Many of our learners progress from leisure learning through to full level two qualifications opening the way to higher level courses or possible self employment.
