Dining Area and Lounges
The Wharf Shed has two lounge/sitting areas as well as the main dining area.
The upper lounge is equipped with a TV and video and can operate as a small classroom. Should you be undertaking arts or craft projects please do this in the dining area. We ask you not to move furnishings or equipment around between the rooms.
Kitchen
The kitchen is a small area and unsuitable for large numbers of people. Please ensure that young people using the kitchen area are adequately supervised.
Information on the kitchen is contained within the leaders pack for your help and assistance.
We do not provide tea towels or washing cloths, these need to be provided by your group. There is a small amount of general cleaning equipment provided for your use. Shops for provisions are available in Cromford (approx. two miles) or in Matlock Bath (approx. three miles) or Matlock (approx. five miles).
Top Floor
The accommodation comprises four bedrooms each sleeping six (three bunk beds), two leaders rooms (one bunk bed in each room) and two separate shower, toilet and wash areas.
Drying Room
The Wharf Shed is equipped with a drying room for wet outdoor clothing or equipment; it also has a ground floor changing area. We ask you to ensure that outdoor footwear is not worn on the top floor and that wet dirty clothing is not taken into bedrooms in an effort to ensure that the bedrooms are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
Domestic Equipment
There is a vacuum cleaner, spare bedding and general cleaning equipment in the upstairs utility cupboard and downstairs in the storage area, should you require any of these items.
If you have any problems with furnishings or any equipment please contact Lea Green or County Hall via the numbers provided.
Staff Office
The office is only available to Lea Green staff who may be visiting and / or working in the building during your stay. Note all Lea Green and Wharf Shed staff are CRB checked in relation to working with young people and can be easily identified by their uniform and name badges.
