Derbyshire grants

As you may be aware, like many other local authorities, we're facing continuing budget pressures and is having to take urgent action to balance the books.

The effects of rising prices and increased demand on many of our services have driven up our costs, both in terms of expenditure and in terms of demand for our services. As a result, we have imposed a series of financial measures that have been implemented to take immediate action to control our spending.

After careful consideration, the council has taken the decision to pause the final round of the Derbyshire Grants Programme. This means that for the time being we will no longer be making funding awards and therefore will no longer be receiving or assessing applications until further notice.

Please keep an eye on our website which will be updated with information about the scheme the future.

Since the Programme’s launch in February 2022, we have provided over £1.39 million of funding to 270 organisations across Derbyshire. We are incredibly proud of this investment and know that this has supported a wealth of activities across the sector and enabled local organisations to turn good ideas into projects which make an enormous difference to local people and communities.

We will be continuing to honour all grants that have received award letters to date and will continue to monitor and evaluate the grant funding that has been awarded to measure the impact of the programme on individuals and communities across Derbyshire. A list of all organisations that received funding from us can be found on our grants awarded webpage.
