Joint Annual Audit and Inspection Letter

In order to ensure that all audit and inspection work is clearly reported in a summary form each year, the Audit Commission has decided that an annual audit and inspection letter will be produced and presented to all local government bodies.

The current Code of Audit Practice requires auditors to provide an annual audit letter addressed to the audited body which should be prepared and issued promptly after the conclusion of the audit.
